Scope This policy applies to all translation activities conducted on behalf of ROOTS of Unity Gabon, including but not limited to written documents, verbal communication, and digital content. 3. Language Requirements Translations will primarily be provided from French to English and vice versa, considering the bilingual nature of Gabon. However, translations into other languages may be required based on specific needs and target audience. 4. Quality Standards Translations must adhere to high-quality standards, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity. Translators should be proficient in both source and target languages, possessing relevant subject matter expertise where necessary. 5. Translation Process Request: Requests for translation services should be submitted through the designated channels, providing clear instructions, deadlines, and any relevant reference materials. Assignment: Upon receiving a translation request, the Language Services Coordinator will assign the task to an appropriate translator based on language pair and subject matter expertise. Translation: Translators will conduct thorough translations, paying attention to nuances of language, cultural context, and intended audience. Review: All translations will undergo a review process by a second linguist to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards. Feedback: Feedback from stakeholders will be collected and considered to continuously improve translation services. 6. Confidentiality Translators are required to maintain confidentiality and handle all documents and information with the utmost discretion. Any sensitive or confidential material must be handled according to the organization's confidentiality policies. 7.
